| By this Charter a Building and Construction Code shall be formed for the Union and all associated Universities. All existing and new laws providing for building and construction responsibility shall be subject to inclusion in the Building Code as one of the thirty three (33) Codes of Law of the Union. | ||
| 154.2 | Structure of the Building and Construction Code | |
| The Building Code shall be one (1) book structured into chapters, which in turn are divided into articles and then one or more clauses within each article. | ||
| The major chapters of the Building Code shall be: | ||
| I. Introductory Provisions II. Building and Occupancy Standards and Principles III. Surface Building Standards IV. Subterranean Building Standards V. Building Design Types VI. Building Occupancy Types VII. Building Type Classification System (BTCS) VIII. Accreditation and Competencies IX. Architecture, Continuity and Standards Compliance X. Site Environmental Impact Modelling and Authorization XI. Construction, Materials Testing and Certification XII. Maintenance, Lifecycle and Creditation Update XIII. Renovation, Emergency Repairs and Cosmetics XIV. Safety Failure, Warranty Claim and Repair XV. Building and Construction Trade System XVI. Unfair Building and Construction Trade Practices XVII. Building and Construction Trade Disputes XVIII. Universal Forms XIX. Universal Building and Construction Forms |

| While an article may belong to a particular chapter, the numbering of all articles is consecutive so that the entire body of articles of the Building and Construction Code may be read as one, with or without the chapter headings. | ||
