| 7.1 | The Legislative Code and Police Code | |
| The Legislative Code of Americas-Union shall be responsible for administering the operations and procedures of the Legislative Branch consistent with the Charter, whereas the Police Code shall be responsible for administering the code of conduct, functions and operations of law enforcement officials. | ||
| The Police Code depends in part upon the Legislative Code in the fair operation and respect of the Legislative Branch of the independence of the Legislative Branch and Judicial Branch and the fair hearing of charges and cases of accused persons. | ||
| Similarly, the Legislative Code in part depends upon the just operation of the Police Code in administering the code of conduct, functions and operations of law enforcement officials. | ||
