The demands on police across a wide range of skills and competencies means that the modern police officer must be a person of great skill and intelligence. |
|
| |
Whereas historically, police may have been seen as merely enforcers of the law, in modern cities and towns, police officers must possess the skill to not only disarm and prevent dangerous situations, but have the communication skills to assist the general public across a wide range of issues. |
